Uruguay's Sergio Rochet doesn’t fear facing Korea's masked warrior Son
After undergoing surgery for a fracture around his eye, the Tottenham striker revealed on Instagram that he will be fit to feature for Korea this upcoming World Cup with a mask protecting his face. Uruguay goalkeeper claims he's ready to fear the Tottenham star.
Son
became the first Asian player to win the Premier League Golden Boot after scoring 23 goals last season. He only needs one goal to surpass Ahn Jung-Hwan and Park Ji-Sung to become
Korea's
all-time top scorer at World Cups with their next game coming on against
Uruguayon Thursday.
Sergio Rochet
said:
"You are prepared for everything, not only for Son. We know that the best players are in the national teams. He has shown that he is at a very high level and one has been looking at him for a long time, studying him, respecting him, but trusting in what one does.
"One thinks that he is going to play. He does not worry me anymore. If he is not there, another one will enter in his place and he will be good, too."
Uruguayan must also keep an eye open for
Cristiano Ronaldo
and
Inaki Williams
as they are drawn in the same group. However, their striker’s make him confident of their strength.
"We are all at a very good level, and whoever has to play will do so in the best way."
