Man Utd and Bayern among clubs who still want Benjamin Sesko

Big European clubs are monitoring the situation of RB Salzburg star Benjamin Sesko despite his transfer to Leipzig next summer.

RB Leipzig confirmed in August that they have agreed to sign striker

Benjamin Sesko

from Red Bull Salzburg at the end of the current season in a deal worth €24m but 90min claims that clubs like

Manchester United

, Chelsea, and

Bayern Munich

are thinking about signing him from Leipzig next summer before he even plays for them.

Manchester United was heavily linked with Sesko last summer but they did not move for him and he decided to accept Leipzig’s offer. Manchester United still is looking to sign a striker next summer and Sesko is on their list but Premier League rivals Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also monitoring his situation.

Leipzig wants to keep Sesko when he officially joins them next summer but reports suggest that  they may sell him if an offer of around €60m arrives.

The 19-year-old Sesko is a center forward from Slovenia who has been called the "new Erling Haaland” by the press. Sesko joined Red Bull Salzburg at the age of 16 in 2019 and so far has scored 16 goals in 52 matches. He has scored four goals in nine league matches in Austria this season.

He became the youngest ever player for the senior Slovenia national team when he made his debut in 2021 at the age of 18. Sesko become Slovenia's youngest ever goalscorer when scored his first goal in 2021.
