Zlatan close to sign a new deal with AC Milan

Zlatan is very close to reaching an agreement with Milan.

Reports from Italy indicate that

Milan

star

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

is ready to significantly decrease his salary in his new contract with the team.

The Swedish star returned to Milan in January 2020 after leaving the

Los Angeles Galaxy

and became one of the key players in Stefano Pioli's team. Having won the Serie A title, he became a role model for younger players and led the team.

He was sidelined for a long time last season due to injury, but at the end of the season, he won the Serie A title for the second time with Milan. According to Tuttosport, Milan and Ibrahimovic are ready to continue their cooperation for another year. The Swedish star wants to be in Milan in January, thus missing the first few months of the season due to injury. He has recently undergone surgery and is unable to accompany his team.

Ibrahimovic will significantly reduce his salary in his new contract, but there will be rewards that depend on the appearances and his performance. In fact, the issue is not money for the Swedish legend, and he wants to wear the Rossoneri shirt for another year.

The 40-year-old Milan star is expected to earn € 2 million a year in his new contract.
