Guardiola has already hinted at Man City plan for Haaland and Alvarez

Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, both forwards for Manchester City, will join Pep Guardiola's team this summer before the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Erling Haaland

and

Julian Alvarez

will join

Manchester City

this summer. While City spent big last month to sign Norwegian star Haaland from

Borussia Dortmund

for £51.2million, they will also have January signing Julian Alvarez in the mix.

Alvarez spent the second half of the 2021/22 Premier League-winning season on loan with River Plate in Argentina. Both will join

Pep Guardiola

's team in great shape.

Haaland scored the winner for Norway against Serbia in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday, while Alvarez scored a double hat-trick for River Plate last month. With a forward line that includes Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden,

Raheem Sterling

, Jack Grealish, Gabriel Jesus, and more, Guardiola will have to find the best combinations each week as City seeks a fifth Premier League title in six seasons and a first Champions League trophy.

Guardiola has already outlined how to get the most out of Haaland and Alvarez, looking to complement their qualities with others at the Etihad Stadium. "Guardiola said after Haaland's arrival, "We'll assist him to adapt." "I think good players in these clubs have positive vibes and energy to understand and help. We play simply.

"Haaland will probably adapt. To give an honest opinion and work with him, I must know him. But he's good and intuitive, so he scores goals." Guardiola said: "Let's play well. I never thought our defensive situation or goals should depend on a central defender or striker. He's scored many goals in his career, and we'll help him score more.

"We won't let him score goals. Win games! To win, we need everyone working the right way to get as far as possible."
