Arsenal eye RB Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi as Lacazette replacement

Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman’s current contract expires at the end of the season and he seems to be on his way out of the club as the Gunners are reluctant to offer him a new deal.

So the former

Lyon

striker is likely to leave next summer, with

Fichajes

reporting that

Manchester City

,

Barcelona

, and

Atletico Madrid

are all interested in signing him on a free transfer.

Arsenal

may yet convince

Lacazette

to stay put but they are unwilling to tie him to a long-term deal as they are beginning to look at options to replace him and 32-year-old

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

.

Red Bull Salzburg

starlet

Karim Adeyemi

, would certainly be a worthy option in that regard.

The 19-year-old has scored 15 goals so far this season, a tally that includes three in four Champions League appearances and 11 in the league.

According to the

Sunday Mirror

, the Germany international has emerged as a potential long-term replacement for Lacazette.

However, they are not the only team that is interested in bringing him on board. Barcelona is also in contention, which is a more tempting option for players now that

Xavi

has returned to the club as manager following the dismissal of

Ronald Koeman

.

According to reports, the Austrian club are unwilling to sell the teenager in January but are open to a move next summer.
