Edin Dzeko joins the reigning champions of Serie A

Edin Dzeko has joined Inter from Roma with a free transfer.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has joined the reigning champions of Italy’s domestic league with a deal that will commit him to the club until June 2023.

After winning the Serie A title,

Inter

has been struggling with financial problems that led to the departure of many key elements of their success in the previous season as they have seen their manager Conte leave the club and then they suffered the departure of their superstar Achraf Hakimi, and their latest hit was Romelu Lukaku’s return to his former club Chelsea.

The reigning champions are trying to replace some of the last power by signing AS Roma’s experienced striker, and they are already planning on convincing Lautaro Martinez to make a new deal with the club as they keep hearing suggestions about his departure from San Siro and they know how impressive he has been to the other European clubs.

Inter will have a hard job defending the title in a season that they have seen many big parts of their title-winning team part ways with the club, and due to the financial struggles, they haven’t been able to work on the necessary reinforcements, especially in the positions that they have lost players.
