Mariners and Cleanaway join forces to support the 2021 Pink Round

The A-League side joined the Australian waste management company to help them raise funds for their 2021 Pink Round movement.

The Central Coast Mariners

launched a new partnership with Cleanaway to help them with the 2021 Pink Round movement, which is dedicated to raising awareness about women’s health.

Since the commencement of their partnership, Mariners have helped Cleanaway to raise more than $100,000 and they hope to continue this act of kindness by raising $10,000 in 2021.

Cleanaway General Manager, David Clancy, talked about their partnership with the

A-League

side, saying:

“Cleanaway is proud to be the Central Coast Mariners Community Partner for 2021.”

“We have been supporting the Central Coast for many years as the Council’s waste services provider as well as providing sustainable options for businesses in the region and of course in our role as logistics provider to the Return and Earn scheme.”

“We have many employees who live on the Central Coast and are proud to be supporting their community and the region’s number one sporting code.”

“Sponsoring the Pink Round is something we are particularly proud of to recognize the importance of women in our community, and specifically women’s health.”

“We also recognize that supporting the Pink Round also supports the many partners, families and communities that are impacted. It is exciting to be part of the event.”

“We are looking forward to working with the Mariners to promote sustainability and recycling on the Central Coast. Recycling and good waste management is such a critical part of a healthy community and how we are making a sustainable future possible for all Australians.”

The Mariners CEO, Shaun Mielekamp, also commented on Cleanaway’s help with the Pink Round, adding:

“We are very proud to partner with Cleanaway in 2021 for our Pink Round to not only raise money for charity and create cancer awareness, but also to celebrate International Women’s Day.”

“Cleanaway have connected with us to help empower and recognise women in football and the wider community, and we believe they are the perfect organisation to partner with for this event.”
