England’s women to face Northern Ireland for first game since March

As they prepare for the Olympic Games later this year, England have announced warm-up friendlies against Northern Ireland and Canada.

The Lionesses will face the Northern Irish on February 23, which will be

England's

first official fixture in nearly a year after their 1-0 loss to

Spain

in March in the SheBelieves Cup.

In addition, following the departure of

Phil

Neville

to take over at MLS’ club,

Inter

Miami

, it will be England’s interim coach,

Hege

Riise's

first game in charge. The Northern Ireland game will take place behind closed doors at St. George's Park, where the

England

football teams usually train.

After that, they will face

Canada

on April 13. Although a venue and kick-off time for the game is yet to be revealed, the FA say ticketing details will be revealed in due course if fans are able to attend at this point.
