Manchester City not planning to re-sign Douglas Luiz
Manchester City have no plans to set off Douglas Luiz’s buy-back trigger and re-sign the midfielder from Aston Villa.

Dean Smith

Manchester Cityin 2019.
To get the Brazilian a work permit, which City were unable to offer,
Pep Guardiola
’s side sold the 22-year-old with a £15m price tag. However, they added the condition of a buy-back clause in the contract with an agreed fee of £27.5m.
The clause is due to expire on June 5, leaving some key players at Villa worried. Fernandinho’s contract is due to expire by the end of the campaign and there have been speculations surrounding Luiz being his replacement.
Luiz has refused to comment on the speculations.

About Man City, I've been doing my job at Villa, I don't really have conversations with City or Guardiola.
“But it's a job that went together, I had help from City with Villa to be able to play in the Premier League. It's a very good thing to be able to play there without any difficulty.”
City are set to face Villa on Wednesday, with Guardiola aiming for the top of the
Premier Leaguetable spot.
