Kevin De Bruyne to miss Man City's clash with Leipzig

After being substituted in the 88th minute in Man City's Premier League draw with Nottingham Forest, the Belgian will miss his side's Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.

Kevin De Bruyne will reportedly miss Manchester City's Wednesday Champions League trip to RB Leipzig after picking up an injury in his side's Saturday Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest. In addition to the Belgian playmaker, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones will be absent for the Citizens.

The English defender has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury since January while Laporte completed the Saturday game against Nottingham.

Leipzig is hopeful to have Christopher Nkunku available after he returned to Bundesliga action against Wolfsburg for the first time since November. The French winger wasn't able to complete Leipzig's full training session on Tuesday as the club confirmed he had a muscle issue.

Guardiola’s men wasted some golden chances in front of Nottingham Forest and in the end drew 1-1, falling 2 points behind Arsenal. Man City, who witnessed Arsenal come back in spectacular fashion earlier in the day to go up top, had to defeat Nottingham in order to take back the top spot in the table. City looked set for a win with a wonderful strike from Bernardo Silva who put them 1-0 up.
