Ronaldinho reveals his son is joining Barcelona's youth system
After terminating his contract with Cruzeiro, Joao Mendes, the son of Ronaldinho went on trial at Barcelona last month. With the trial successful, the Brazilian will now be a part of the club's youth system as Ronaldinho promises to spend more time around the Catalan club.
Confirming his son,
Joao Mendes
has joined Barcelona's academy, Ronaldinho told
Mundo Deportivo:
"Barca is part of my life, and with the arrival of my son in the academy, I will be more present.
"I have many friends within Barca, Xavi included, and I hope that they can win the league."

settle into the second place in the league standing at the end of the season in 2003-2004. In his second season at Camp Nou, Ronaldinho finally won his first league title. During the season, he was named FIFA World Player of the Year and added his own name to the list of elite players who have won this valuable award.
During his third season, the legendary player won several individual awards including the Ballon d’Or. One of his memorable nights that season was when he scored twice as Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3–0 on the road in the first leg of El Clásico. After his second goal, Madrid fans applauded his performance.
The 2005-06 season finished for Barca and Ronaldinho with a UEFA Champions League triumph and now it remains to be seen how his son performs at Camp Nou.
