Following an early contract termination with Ajax, the 32-year-old defender

Daley Blind

will join Bayern Munich as a free agent until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Having been a key player for Louis van Gaal during Netherlands’ run to the quarter-finals in the World Cup, Daley Blind agreed to terminate his contract with Ajax 6 months earlier in order to join Bayern Munich.

The son of the former Dutch national team manager Danny Blind, Daley can play in avariety of defensive roles either as a defender or a midfielder, which makes him perfect as a back-up option for the injury-hit Bayern Munich.

The 2012-13 Dutch footballer of the year, came through the academy ranks at Ajax helping them win 4 consecutive league titles before joining Manchester United in 2014 where he also won 3 major trophies.

After 4 years at United, blind once again joined Ajax in a second stint that saw him win 3 more league titles as well as two domestic cups.

As of now the only detail that has emerged from his deal with

Bayern

is that his contract will be valid until the end of this season and he is supposed to go undergo a medical in a few hours.
