Marcelo Brozovic might not be able to play in Inter's first Serie A game this weekend against Lecce.

Marcelo Brozovic

might not be able to play

Inter

's first Serie A game this weekend against Lecce.

Last week, the Croatian midfielder had to miss a preseason game against

Villarreal

because he had strained a muscle in his right calf. This happened during a training session on Friday. It seems to be because of a bump he took while training with Pergolettese.

Calciomercato.com says that Inter are keeping a close eye on Brozovic's health, and there are worries that he might not be able to play in the first game of the season on August 13 against Lecce. He will work alone for three days and won't play in Wednesday's game against Sant'Angelo.

The Nerazzurri don't want to risk making the Croatian midfielder's injury worse, especially since they will be playing in the Derby della Madonnina on September 3 against their rivals from Milan. Brozovic is a key part of

Simone Inzaghi

's midfield, so the team will want him to take his time getting better.
