Leverkusen

finish in third place.

Top European clubs are monitoring the France international situation and he has been linked with

Newcastle

in recent weeks but Diaby says he has decided to stay at Leverkusen for another season. It was reported that Leverkusen wants more than 65 million euros to sell Diaby.

Diaby

who has a contract with Leverkusen until 2025 told RP Online:

"I've made my decision and will play for Bayer Leverkusen again next season.”

Diaby joined Leverkusen from PSG in 2019 and since then has scored 35 goals in 125 matches. He is happy with his progress but wants to score more goals next season.

"It's true that I've made a lot of progress in this area. My goals haven't changed for the coming season,"

he said.

"With Bayer, we want to have a top team again and I want to help the team as much as possible by continuing to score goals, but also by providing assists. The aim is to get as far as possible in all competitions."
