Milan in direct talks with Aston Villa over Douglas Luiz
The Brazilian star has entered the last year of his contract with Villa and is close to leaving this team.

Luiz joined Villa from Manchester City in 2019 and played for this team for three seasons. During this time, he became one of the key pieces of his team, but only one season is left on his contract and due to the non-renewal of the contract, the club plans to sell him this summer.
Reports suggest that Milan have started direct negotiations with Villa for the transfer of Luiz. The 24-year-old midfielder believes that there is a high chance of a transfer being finalised, but if it doesn't happen, he could agree a deal in January for a free transfer next summer. Villa would prefer to receive a fee in exchange for losing Luiz and have therefore reduced his value with little time remaining on his contract.
If this transfer is finalized, it is expected that the Rossoneri will not be looking for another player in the midfield. The Serie A champion is also monitoring the condition of Renato Sanchez to replace Frank Kessie if possible.
