Guendouzi confirms Arsenal exit ahead of move to Marseille

The French midfielder is set to end his three-year spell at the Emirates Stadium.

is reportedly in advanced talks with

Marseille

over a summer transfer. The player, who joined Arsenal from Lorient in 2018, confirmed his departure from the Gunners on Monday.

"Thanks to all of those who believed in me during my time here, during the good and the bad moments. I can only wish the best to the club and its fans who deserve so much, trust me ! Good bye Arsenal, I will never forget and will be a gooner forever."

Guendouzi made 82 appearances for the Gunners during his three-year stay at the club, scoring one goal and providing five assists. The 22-year-old joined

Hertha Berlin

on a loan deal last season, where he featured in 24 matches for the Bundesliga side. According to

, Guendouzi is set to join Marseille on a loan deal for the 2021-22 season. However, the contract will include an obligation to buy which will be activated next year.
