Thomas Sandgaard set to appoint new Charlton coach by the weekend

The League One club owner has revealed that they will be assigning a new manager very soon with a due date of no later than the upcoming weekend.

owner, Thomas Sandgaard, believes that they will be soon introducing their new boss following Lee Bowyer’s resignation on Monday, promising that the process will be taking place no later than the upcoming weekend.

’s Aitor Karanka, Charlton’s assistant manager, Johnnie Jackson, stepped up to take charge of their Tuesday match against

Talking about the club’s recent events, Sandgaard told

“Hopefully we will have things sorted out here before the end of the week. I am very confident that that will all be figured out by the end of the week.”

“At this stage here we are going to have Johnnie Jackson…until we get settled.”

“But actually, the players are so seasoned, so good, that I don’t expect that it will hurt our performance on the pitch.”

“I’m actually very confident that we’ll be able to pick it up simply because they are so experienced.”
