Mihajlovic praises "perfect" Bologna

After Bologna defeated Parma 3-0, Sinisa Mihajlovic praises a "perfect performance" and reveals how he’s struggling to make a center-forward out of Musa Barrow.

“It was a perfect performance. We scored three goals, could’ve had another two or three, and allowed practically nothing at the back,”

the

Bologna

coach announced.

“I am happy for Musa, who scored two goals, as we’re working every day in training on the movements of a center-forward and it’s paying off. He has the characteristics to be a center-forward, he just needs to get himself into the situation to score.

“He still plays a bit more like a winger, but we are working every day on his movements, what he should and shouldn’t do.

“We were playing without seven or even 10 players for at least two months. I see other clubs who get let off for missing one or two, but we were missing half the team,”

Mihajlovic

added.

“Now we’ve got some options off the bench, a squad with a lot of quality, and we’ll try to keep improving.

“We needed to rediscover the spirit we had when I first arrived at Bologna, that sense of absolute desperation and determination we had to grab every result. That’s how the other teams in the relegation zone feel now.

“Now what we need to do is match the opponents in terms of aggression, desperation, and determination, then we can let the quality shine through.”

Mihajlovic

was questioned about his future plans for

Bologna

.

“It depends on them. I have a contract for another two years, we’ll see what happens. I understand there are projects in place and others that had to stop halfway because of situations that emerged. As I said, it’s a strange season, so I will try to secure safety as quickly as possible.

“For next season, we can talk about targets, whether we want to invest or not. I am not the one who sets the targets for this club, that’s down to the directors.”
