Simeone nets four goals for Hellas Verona against Lazio

The Biancocelesti were beaten 4-1 at the hands of Hellas Verona on Sunday, a week following their victory over Serie A champions Inter.

Like their goalless draw in the Europa League with Marseille,

Lazio

were not impressive in attack and

Hellas Verona

took advantage of that.

After the domination of the first half’s most parts, Gianluca Caprari slipped the ball to two Biancocelesti defenders in order for Giovanni Simeone to meet the back of the net in the 30th minute. He then found the target again after six minutes.

After the start of the second half, Ciro Immobile scored a goal for his side. However, their hope for an equalizer and leveling the game didn’t live long as Simeone went on to score his hat-trick in the 62nd minute, with Caprari providing another assist.

In the injury time, the Argentine was on fire and he netted Verona’s fourth goal in the battle against Lazio.
