Hodgson hopes to have Zaha available against Manchester United

Wilfried Zaha had not been able to play for Palace due to a Muscle problem, but Roy Hodgson hopes to have him back on the pitch after the match against Fulham.

Roy Hodgson

,

Crystal Palace

manager, gave an update to

Wilfried Zaha

's situation after the winger dealt with a muscle problem and missed three games and hoped to have him back for the match against

Manchester United

.

Hodgson expressed his hope to see the 28-year-old talent back to the pitch on Wednesday and said:

“He was out on the field today, which was good.

“He was training with the rehabilitation specialist that we have.

“It was good to see Wilf out there running and playing with the ball. Muscle injuries you have to be very careful, so I will have to wait to get the clearance from the medical department to make sure his first sprints aren’t met with a new injury or a recurrence of the old injury.

“I’m rather hoping that by next week we’ll be seeing him back again. That’s my hope.”

Crystal Palace will face

Fulham

on the weekend and followed by that will be meeting the Solskjaer squad.

If the Ivory Coast international is not prepared by Wednesday, he will be playing in the match against

Tottenham

which takes place on Sunday.

Hodgson had admitted too much reliance on Zaha before that.

Palace have drawn one, lost four and won three matches out of the last eight, and sits in 13th place on the table.
