"Italy is teaching me to be specific in my work" says Thuram

Marcus Thuram joined Inter from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer.

Marcus Thuram scored 44 goals for Borussia Monchengladbach in 134 games. He joined

Inter

in the summer and has scored two goals in eight games for them.

He talked about joining the Inter and said that he had negotiated with many teams.

“I spoke to many clubs and it was not an easy choice. I knew it would define my career and I know I took the right decision,”

he told L’Equipe.

“Italy is teaching me to be specific in my work. This is one of the reasons why I chose Inter. This will help me settle into a central role. It brings me other things too. In Italy, I’ve been asked to hold the ball, pass it to midfielders and attack the space. It’s a mix of many things. I had to learn new methods and I’ve improved so much in just a few months here.”

Inter drew 2-2 with Bologna in Serie A this week.

Thuram has scored one goal in 12 games for the France national team.
