Inzaghi: " I saw so much intensity in the second half"
Inter defeated Benfica in their second game of the Champions League.
drew 1-1 with Real Sociedad in their first Champions League game and defeated Benfica 1-0 in their second game. Thuram scored a goal for Inter in this game.
“Benfica had played a day earlier, but the lads put in a great performance and I congratulated them because I saw so much intensity in the second half. We hit the post multiple times, but we remained focused. We could have been luckier."
Inzaghi told Canale 5 after the game.
“Don’t forget Benfica won the league last season, they reached the Champions League quarter-finals and have already won the Portuguese Supercup this term.”
Inter earned four points from its first two games, putting them in second position in the standings.
They reached the final of the Champions League last season, but lost 1-0 to Manchester City in the final and became the runner-up.
Inter have earned 18 points out of seven games in Serie A and are currently in first place. They will play against Bologna in their next game.
