Sarabia explains decision to leave PSG despite playing with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar

The Spain international Pablo Sarabia has explained why he decided to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January.

Sarabia

joined PSG from Sevilla in 2019. He left the French team and joined

Wolves

on a two-and-a-half-year deal last January.

The 30-year-old forward, who has managed to score one goal in six matches for Wolves, said he enjoyed playing alongside Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar, but he is happy with his decision to leave Paris.

In an interview with The Telegraph, he said:

”It was amazing to play with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar.

"It was a very good experience, but for me the most crucial thing is to feel important in the team."

Wolves has got out of the relegation zone under Julian Lopetegui, and Sarabia claimed that unity in their dressing room is better than PSG.

He added: "

I prefer to play in another team to feel that unity, to be part of it, to be a member of the team and of a family, rather than just an addition of individuals.

"I was not happy not to play. It's very difficult to play considering the level of PSG players, so I made the decision to come here. In my career I have been through a lot of difficult moments, but now I want to enjoy it.

"I feel that at this moment, I'm in the prime of my career.”

Sarabia spent last season on loan at Sporting CP and managed to score 21 goals. He started only three Ligue 1 games for

PSG

this season before joining Wolves.
