Arsenal returns to the top of the table after a 3-0 win at Brentford

After a long pause between the English Football League matches, an easy 3-0 away victory over Brentford on Sunday sent Arsenal to the top of the Premier League's table after they temporarily lost it yesterday to Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta led

Arsenal

to the top of the Premier League table winning all of their August league fixtures. Their winning run was cut short when the Gunners lost 3-1 at Manchester United in their first outing of September.

However, after a pause in Premier League football due to Queen Elizabeth II’s death, they had an easy job against

Brentford

on Sunday as goals from William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus, and

Fabio Vieira

awarded them a precious 3-0 victory.

Arsenal took the first half's control over Brentford thanks to early goals from

Saliba and Jesus before Vieira finalized their 3-0 victory with a brilliant goal early in the second half. Fabio Vieira, who joined the Gunners this summer, celebrated his first full debut in fashion as he sealed the Gunners a 3-0 away victory with a brilliant goal in the 49th minute.

William Saliba met Bukayo Saka's corner with a header in the 17th minute before

Gabril Jesus

doubled Arsenal's lead in the 28th minute, nodding in from Granit Xhaka's left-wing cross. Vieira put the icing on the cake with a lovely long-range strike four minutes after the break.

After the international break, Arsenal will be back in action for North-London Derby against

Tottenham

while Brentford visits Bournemouth.
