Ligue 1 referees set a red card record in one matchday

In the third round of the Ligue 1 fixtures, referees have been giving all their attention to their work.

Ligue 1

referees have given 11 red cards this weekend which is the most in one matchday in the last 30 years.

In the clash between Montpellier and Auxerre, four players were shown red cards, while Nice also saw two of their players being dismissed as they were defeated at Clermont.

Overall, six games this weekend have received at least one red card and there is one match left on Sunday, with
