Elanga and Fred are stunned by Man United's new signing Eriksen

The former Tottenham and Inter midfielder joined the Red Devils as a free agent following a brief spell at Brentford where he headed after recovering from a cardiac arrest he suffered in Euro 2022.

During the half-season

Christian Eriksen

had at Brentford, he scored once and assisted four times in 11 appearances, proving that he could still play to a high Premier League standard.

The Danish midfielder already has stunned his new

Manchester United

teammates, Anthony Elanga and Fred, who both are relishing playing with 'special' Christian Eriksen. Elanga told

ManUtd.com

:

“He’s a special player, a really good player and I’ve played against him. I had the honour to play against him last season and you could see his qualities from there.

“I feel like he’ll be a great contributor to the team. I’m really looking forward to playing with him and hopefully he’ll put some balls in behind for me to run on to. That will be nice!”

Echoing Elanga's views,

Fred

described Eriksen as both a great player and a great person. Fred added:

“He's got the ability, a great player, attacking, strikes the ball well, knows where the goal is. He'll add to the team and he'll be made very welcome in our team, at Manchester United. Together we can achieve our goals.

“He's a very experienced player, I'm sure he'll contribute a lot. He seems like a great person and will add to our group. I'm fully behind him and hope that it all works out in our team. As I said we want to achieve our goals together and he can add a lot to our team.”
