Zinchenko part of City squad for the U.S. pre-season games

The Gunners are hoping they can seal a contract with Oleksandr Zinchenko; however, he has gone to the US with Manchester City.

squad for the pre-season games in the United States notwithstanding reports that he may join

Arsenal

The Gunners have reached an agreement for a deal worth £30million to acquire the services of the Ukraine international.

A move seems to be imminent as Zinchenko was part of the 26 players who have gone to the USA.

Arsenal’s Edu, the technical director, is pushing to agree personal terms with the player, who might be reunited with Mikel Arteta, the former City assistant coach.

Phil Foden, Ilkay Gundogan, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte were not named as part of the team. Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips have gone with their new team-mates and so did Nathan Ake, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

City will lock horns with Club America on Wednesday before going against Bayern Munich three days later.
