Gonzalo Higuain 'gets goosebumps' when reflecting on career

Gonzalo Higuain, a former forward for Juventus and Napoli, talked about his career, his favorite teammates, and the things he did well.

The Argentine striker is still playing in the MLS with

Inter Miami

. He is under contract with the American team until the end of the year. Since he joined the team in September 2020, he has played 51 times and scored 15 goals and set up 9 others.

When talking to Inter Miami's media department about his career,

Gonzalo Higuain

thought back to his early days at

Real Madrid

, which came after he moved from River Plate to Europe. "I met Roberto Carlos when I was 19, and he made me feel welcome with love and humility. All of them, including him, Ronaldo, Beckham, Raul, Van Nistelrooy, Casillas, Helguera, and Cannavaro, treated us kids with kindness and great modesty, and I could keep going.

The forward from Argentina then talked about some of his favorite teammates and how it felt to play with them. "The truth is, I get goosebumps when I think back on all the players I've been able to play with. "I still haven't gotten tired of playing. Ronaldinho was someone I played against, Roberto Carlos was someone I played with,

Paulo Dybala

was someone I played with, and even McKennie played with for a few days at Juventus.

Last, Higuain talked about how he hopes to look back on his career and be proud of what he has done. "How many things have I done well in my career? I hope that will happen one day."

Higuain joined

Napoli

in 2013 for €39m and moved to Serie A. He lived up to that price tag by scoring 91 goals in 146 games, but things went wrong when he moved to Juventus for €90m in 2016. The Argentine forward went on to score 66 goals in 149 games for the Bianconeri, but he will never be forgiven in the Campania capital.
