Real Madrid sign Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes
Real Madrid have completed the signing of Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes for €31m plus add ons, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The deal with Rennes was agreed late on Monday night after
Paris Saint-Germainrejected
Real Madrid’s offer for
Kylian Mbappe
. However, sources close to the Bernabeu insisted that the deal was not connected to the breakdown in talks to sign Mbappe.
Real Madrid and
Renneswere in advanced talks about Camavinga’s future late in the day. Real Madrid sent an official bid but the deal was not agreed upon yet.
French sources made it clear that Camavinga wants to leave Rennes now rather than leaving the French side in 2022 as a free agent.
Carlo Ancelotti
has been keen to strengthen in midfield after
Martin Odegaard

Arsenalon a permanent basis earlier this month.
Romano
reported that Real Madrid’s initial bid for Camavinga was a little more than 30 million euros plus add ons. Personal terms were agreed upon with the player until June 2026.
Then the
Italian journalist confirmedthat Camavinga would permanently pen a deal with Los Blancos for €31m plus add ons. Camavinga's transfer is expected to be made official today.
Camavinga joined Rennes’ academy at the age of 11 and has made 87 appearances since breaking into the club’s first team.
