Mourinho is not on Moses’ top coaches list

The 30-year-old, who joined Spartak Moscow on a loan contract, played under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea but was handed little first-team action.

Victor Moses

believes Neil Warnock and Roberto Martinez are better bosses than

Jose Mourinho

, with the Nigeria international crossing the Portuguese coach off his list of great tacticians.

The Nigerian worked under Mourinho from 2013 to 2015 at Stamford Bridge and was sent on loan spells at

Liverpool

and

Stoke

. Moses has not forgotten the ignorance, being still tied to

Chelsea

and revealed that he enjoyed game under coaches at

Crystal Palace

and

Wigan

.

When asked to list his favorite managers, he did name some ex-Blues coaches: “

[Antonio] Conte is on this list.

“He helped me to believe in myself. And that's purely from a human perspective and not because he found me a new position on the right side of the defence.

“Next Roberto Martinez, Rafael Benitez. Neil Warnock, with whom I made my debut at Crystal Palace. [Domenico] Tedesco. And also Mark Hughes.”

Moses added about Mourinho: “

Without a doubt, Jose is a cool pro, I respect his achievements. But there wasn't the necessary connection between the player and the coach.

“In the end, I tried in training, I wanted to play, but Mourinho had a different opinion.”

The versatile player joined the Blues in 2012 with the help of Roberto Di Matteo. As he was not noticed for three campaigns, he moved to West Ham on loan in 2015-16; however, he was brought back to Stamford Bridge by Conte in 2016-17 when they grabbed the

Premier League

title.

Moses played in 78 games under the helm of Conte, but was pushed to leave once again when Maurizio Sarri was appointed, playing for Fenerbahce, Inter, and Spartak in the last three campaigns.
