The ex-Gunners player won his third title with the Qatari side in less than a year after joining them in July 2020.

Former

and

Villarreal

player,

Santi Cazorla

, added another trophy to his titles with Al-Sadd under

Barcelona

legend, Xavi, after their Friday 2-0 win in the Qatar Cup final.

This win marked Cazorla’s third title with the Qatari side since his arrival in July 2020 having already won the Qatari Stars Cup and Emir of Qatar Cup.

Cazorla currently has 12 goals and 10 assists in his 19 appearances with Xavi’s squad, which marks a remarkable return for a player, who had to go throughout under 11 operations to get pass his injuries.

Cazorla, whose Achilles was eventually reconstructed by taking a part from his left arm, said:

"They've put skin from my arm on my ankle, and from my thigh on my arm."

"So whenever I get asked what's happened to me, I end up saying it's like a little jigsaw, parts of my body all over the place."

Though some believed that his career would end after his injury, the 36-year-old made an impressive comeback with Villarreal scoring 22 goals in 86 appearances.
