Ibrahima Konate joined Liverpool from Leipzig in the summer of 2021. He has played 61 games for

Konate has praised his teammate at Liverpool, Virgil van Dijk, in an interview with Le Parisien.

"There are very few defenders who have managed to have as good a career as him. I learn a lot alongside him. My goal, and he knows it, is to have a better career than him. My No.1 has long been Sergio Ramos,”

he said.

Konate has played 11 games for the France national team. In the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he became the runner-up with France.
