The management of the Saudi
Al-IttifaqFootball Club announced the signing of an official contract with English midfielder
Jordan Henderson, a former
Liverpool
captain, to be in the ranks of Al-Ettifaq which is coached by his compatriot Stephen Gerrard.
The Saudi Al-Ittifaq Football Club published a welcome video on the social networking site "Twitter", a welcome video for Jordan Henderson.
The Saudi Al-Ittifaq club entered into negotiations with midfielder Henderson based on the recommendation of the Saudi team coach, Stephen Gerrard.
Henderson played 492 matches with Liverpool in various tournaments, scored 39 goals, and provided 74 assists.
Henderson led Liverpool to achieve the Premier League title in 2020 for the first time in 30 years, and he also actively contributed to the Reds crowning the Champions League in 2019.
Henderson joined Liverpool in 2011 from
Sunderlandand wore the team captaincy in 2015, succeeding Stephen Gerrard, the Reds legend and current Al-Ettifaq coach.
