Mauricio Pochettino to become Chelsea coach

Pochettino identified a list of needs for the summer market

club management announced the appointment of Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino to become technical director of the Blues club, after the modest level with which the London club appeared.

Chelsea said in a statement on its official website: "The club is pleased to announce that Pochettino will lead the team from the start of the 2023–2024 season. He added, "The Argentine coach will start his new job on July 1, 2023, with a two-year contract, with the option to extend for an additional year."

Lawrence Stewart and Paul Winstanley Chelsea's sporting directors said: "Pochettino's experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities, and character will be beneficial to the club in the future.

The duo added: "He is a winning coach who has worked at the highest levels in several leagues and is distinguished by his ethics, tactical approach, and commitment to development, which made him an exceptional candidate."

Pochettino's coaching staff at Chelsea will witness the presence of the quartet, "Jesus Perez, Miguel D'Agostino, Tony Jimenez, and Sebastian Pochettino."

striker, as the first option to sign him, as the coach placed him at the top of his list of needs for the summer market for the next season.

The coach gave his instructions to the club in the transfer market in preparation for the start of his new mission, pointing out that Osimhen is the most prominent requirement in light of his tremendous technical and physical capabilities, which appeared during the current season.

confirmed his departure from Chelsea at the end of the season (2022-2023) to return to

Juventus

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano published Zakaria's statements on his Twitter account, where he told Blues fans: "I went through a difficult period, but you were always behind me.

He added, "I thank everyone who supported me. Let's focus on the good memories.
