at Allianz Arena in Thomas Tuchel's debut game as the new head coach.

Tuchel, who replaced Julian Nagelsmann during the international break, had the challenge of knocking his former club off the top spot in the Bundesliga.

Tuchel had an impressive start to his coaching career with Bayern Munich against their rival team, with two goals from Thomas Muller and an own goal by Gregor Kobel helping Bayern to take a 3-0 lead in just 23 minutes.

's lead by sidefooting into the bottom corner from Sane's smart pass. Although Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's acrobatic finish was disallowed for offside, Dortmund managed to get a goal back when Emre Can scored from the penalty spot after Jude Bellingham was fouled by Serge Gnabry.

Donyell Malen scored a second goal for Dortmund, but it was not enough to stop Bayern from securing an emphatic victory.

The loss marks Dortmund's first loss in the Bundesliga since November. the Bavarians now move to the top spot in the Bundesliga.
