Thiago Silva reveals the ongoing Chelsea contract negotiations
After joining Chelsea in a free transfer from PSG in 2020, Silva has become one of Chelsea’s standout players in the two seasons he has been at the club. The Brazilian reveals the ongoing negotiations with the Blues to keep him at the club beyond the 2022-23 season.

in January that will keep him with the club through the 2022-2023 season. However, the 38-year-old defender reveals a new deal that can keep him at the club even further.

"Everything will probably happen in the next few days. My intention, and that of the club as well, is to stay together. I know that the club needs me right now.
"I am here to be able to help, they are young players, anyway. I know that, with my experience, I can help in this process of rebuilding the club, I'm here for that, willing to do this, however, I know that my responsibility is very great."
