Ancelotti deems Camavinga ‘untouchable’ amidst Arsenal and Chelsea links

Carlo Ancelotti was quite adamant that Real Madrid won’t be losing Camavinga anytime soon as he is “untouchable”.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti categorically denied the possibility of

Eduardo Camavinga

leaving Real Madrid as the Frenchman has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea lately.

Camavinga, who became one the most sought-after talents in Europe at Rennes, joined Los Blancos in 2021 in a €31million. While his first season saw him start 13 games, Camavinga has struggled to play the same role this season, starting only 5 of his 16 appearances so far.

There were rumors circulating around that Arsenal were interested in the 20-year-old’s services for a short-term loan but the player’s agent as well as the Madrid boss Ancelotti have emphatically ruled out such a move.

"Eduardo is untouchable, like [Luka] Modric and [Toni] Kroos,"

Ancelotti told reporters ahead of Sunday's trip to Athletic Bilbao.

Apart from Camavinga rumors, Madrid has several players (Fernandez, Ceballos and Asensio) who are all entering the final months of their contract but Ancelotti rubbished any talk of lack of certainty and effort from these players.

"They could start the game, or be decisive in the game,"

he added.

"You have to evaluate. From what I see, I see very motivated players, and they show it. We have to see what happens.

"Their contracts are running down and they show that they have motivation, desire, and concentration. The fact that their contract ends does not affect them at all."

Ancelotti was then asked about the Aurelien Tchouameni incident. The Frenchman was absent from attendance in

Real Madrid

’s Copa del Rey clash with Villarreal. Tchouameni, who has been injured for two weeks, was instead in Paris watching an NBA game between the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. He went on to apologize to Ancelotti on Friday however.

Ancelotti said:

"He made his apology public. He was wrong, but he is a young boy, and the subject has ended with this."
