Arsenal defender Saliba adamant that the Gunners are under ‘no pressure’ in the EPL

William Saliba played a vital role in

’s 2-0 victory over Spurs on Sunday, helping the Gunners go 8 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table. The Frenchman went on to comment on Arsenal’s title challenge after the match, saying that they could handle the pressure that is put upon them.

Saliba, who has been a key figure in Arsenal’s rise in this campaign, urged the Gunners to continue performing outstandingly as they have done so far while the fixture list for the Gunners grows tougher.

"There’s no pressure because we play for that," said Saliba. "It’s better to have this pressure when you are at the top than when you are down at the bottom. It’s better to keep going like this and we don’t have to have pressure.

"We are focused on ourselves. We are not focused on our rivals. We have to keep going like this and stay focused only on ourselves. It’s never enough. We know we have a lot of games to go. We have to be focused because things can change quickly."

While the Frenchman has been at Arsenal for a couple of years, he has spent the majority of that time away on loan, making this his debut season for the Gunners. His current contract with the Gunners runs until 2024 and an extension with him and Bukayo Saka is of top priority for the Gunners.

went on to comment on his future at the club, restating that he sees his future at the Emirates Stadium.

"I am so happy here. The club is speaking with my agent and me, the only thing I can do is [focus on my football]. I am so happy here."
