Cody Gakpo arrives for Liverpool medical ahead of £45m move from PSV
After a splendid performance at the World Cup, the Dutch club confirmed they have agreed a deal for the forward with Liverpool. Now the forward arrives in England for medical tests to finalize the deal.

After
PSV Eindhovenconfirmed the transfer on Boxing Day, the Dutch forward arrived in England today to undergo medicals.
Gakpo was among Erik ten Hag's main targets before signing Antony from Ajax. PSV rejected an offer from Southampton in the summer while Leeds United was also interested in signing the 23-year-old.
The 23-year-old striker has provided nine goals and 12 assists in 14 Eredivisie games this season. Only
Van Nistelrooy
and
Luis Suarez
had more goal contributions after 14 matches in the Eredivisie (in 1999-2000 and 2009-10 seasons).
Gakpo won the Dutch Footballer of the Year award for the 2021-2022 season and was part of the Netherlands squad that reached the World Cup quarter-finals.
