PSV Eindhoven confirm Cody Gakpo transfer deal with Liverpool
PSV Eindhoven has announced that they have reached an agreement with Liverpool over the transfer of the Netherlands international Cody Gakpo.

PSVannounced that Gakpo will travel to England imminently to undergo a medical and finalize his move to Anfield.
reportedly will pay an initial £37 million fee plus £13 million in add-ons.
A statement from the Eredivisie giants said:
"PSV and Liverpool have reached an agreement on the proposed transfer of Cody Gakpo.
"The 23-year-old attacker will leave for England imminently where he will be subjected to the necessary formalities ahead of the completion of the transfer.”
Gakpo was heavily linked with Manchester United during the recent months and Eric Ten Hag was keen on signing the Dutch forward in the January transfer window but United never submitted an official offer to PSV and Liverpool managed to sign him eventually.
The 23-year-old striker has scored nine goals and provided 12 assists in 14 Eredivisie games this season. Only Van Nistelrooy in 1999-2000 and Luis Suarez in 2009-10 had more goal contributions after 14 matches in the Eredivisie.
He is a PSV academy graduate and has made his first-team debut for the club in February 2018. Gakpo scored 55 goals in 159 matches for PSV.
Gakpo won the Dutch Footballer of the Year award for the 2021-2022 season and was part of the Netherlands squad that reached the World Cup quarter-finals. He also scored three goals in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
