Conte unhappy with his teams’ performance as he demands that Spurs ‘find solutions’

Spurs was about to lose yet another match only for Hojbjerg to rescue them a point at Brentford.

Spurs showed resilience as they came back from 2-0 down against Brentford in the span of 6 minutes to get a draw with goals from Kane and Hojbjerg. However, Antonio Conte wasn’t happy with his team’s result, saying that they need to “find solutions”.

All the common criticisms hurled at Spurs was once again apparent as they let Brentford took initiative in the first half, scoring within 15 minutes of the game. Second-half wasn’t much better either since Toney managed to double Brentford’s lead and

Kane

’s goal in 65th minute of the game, was against the run of the play too.

Conte gave his thoughts about the match in a post-match press conference, saying:

"In one side I have to be happy because of the way we played in the second half, the energy, desire and intensity and when you play like this you create problems.

"On the other side this is now nine games in a row we concede the first goal. It's important to be stable for a team that wants to try to stay in a good position in the table. To concede for many goals the first goal or two goals, we have to make good reflections. We have to find solutions."

He ended his interview by saying:

"I want to underline how good they are but we could have won."

Even though Conte’s side has been criticized as playing a defensive and negative game, they have conceded at least two goals in their last 6 matches.

Tottenham

now may fall even farther behind title-contenders Arsenal and Manchester City.
