Arteta hints at keeping Cedric Soares amid Fulham’s interest

After an impressive spell with Southampton, Cédric joined Arsenal back in 2020. After falling out of Arteta's favor, the Portuguese has been linked with a move to Fulham. However, the Spanish coach hints at keeping Cedric at Arsenal amid a packed schedule.

After an impressive spell with Southampton,

Cédric

joined fellow Premier League outfit Arsenal, on a six-month loan on January 31, 2020, before the club made his stay permanent the summer.

However, falling out of

Mikel Arteta

's pecking order, the Portuguese has only 33 appearances since joining the club. With

Fulham

eager to seal a permanent deal for the right-back,

Arsenal

's boss hints at keeping Cedric at the club.

"

We know where we are in terms of the squad and also the numbers that we have, so we’re going to be extremely cautious in what we do in this window,"

Arteta stated.

Cédric made his senior debut for Portugal in 2014 after earning 72 caps at all levels of the youth game. He represented his country at the 2018 World Cup and the Euro 2016 competition, winning the latter.
