Cristiano Ronaldo set to join Al Nassr
After much speculation it seems that Cristiano Ronaldo is finally headed to Saudi Arabia to sign Al Nassr in a lucrative deal
Following his high-profile departure from
Manchester United, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is set to join Saudi Al Nassr on a two-and-a-half-year deal, according to reports.
left United on rather a sour note when he exposed the club’s many shortcomings as well as claiming that the management of the club didn’t want him there. He then proceeded to say that he has no respect for current United coach ten Hag as he has none for him.
The two parties decided to part ways without any legal repercussions from either side and Ronaldo has since been busy with Portugal’s World Cup campaign, apparently being quite blasé about his immediate future at the club level.
However, recent reports have suggested that the Saudi side
Al Nassrhas offered him an eye-watering amount of €200million per season in a deal that runs until 2025.
While initial reaction from Ronaldo’s camp has been one that denies the rumors, Marca is now reporting that Ronaldo may very well accept the deal, practically ending 2 decades of European football experience for the 5 time Ballon d’Or winner.
