FFF condemns racist abuse hurled towards Eduardo Camavinga

Real Madrid midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, was recently racially abused after some started blaming him for Nkunku’s injury

Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku was recently injured and forced to leave France’s camp, missing the World Cup. following the incident a video surfaced which showed that Nkunku might’ve been injured as a result of a challenge with Camavinga.

This led to a barrage of discriminatory and hateful messages hurled at Camavinga which has since been condemned by various personalities. French Football Federation has also joined in condemning the actions of Camavinga’s abusers by releasing an official statement that reads:

"Following Christopher Nkunku's injury, Eduardo Camavinga was the victim of racist messages on social media.

"The FFF condemns these attacks in the strongest possible terms and is in full support of Eduardo."

Cristopher Nkunku has since taken to social media, defending

Camavinga

who he thinks has been “unfairly targeted”.

"Yesterday evening, following the medical examinations, I had to leave Les Bleus and forfeit the World Cup,"

Nkunku said via Twitter.

"Now, let's get to work with one and only objective, to come back even stronger.

"A thought for my team-mate Eduardo Camavinga, who was unfairly targeted. The World Cup must be a moment of togetherness and not of division."

So far,

France

has been hit by injuries worse than any other team, with Les Bleus losing Kante, Pogba, Kimpembe and Nkunku due to injuries, but the abuse Camavinga has suffered seems to be the worst of it all.
