Tite wants Brazil squad to ‘strive for excellence’ in the World Cup

Brazil manager Tite spoke to the Italian press ahead of the World Cup on his decision to train at Juventus’ home ground as well as the strangeness of Italy’s absence from the tournament

Allianz Arena as Selecao’s training ground as Brazil gears up to compete in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

are considered to be one of the favorites to win the competition with players like Neymar, Jesus and Alisson in their ranks.

Speaking to the Italian press, Tite discussed his choice of training ground for Selecao as well as what they hope to achieve.

“We have a guideline in the preparation of the Brazilian team, we always strive for excellence. And here it is a question of preparing for a World Cup in a top-class place.

“The Juventus training centre offers this, in addition to the logistical facilities.”

Naturally, the Italian press asked Tite about Italy’s absence from the tournament, to which he replied:

“Nobody would have said that after winning the European Championship. I’m sorry but it’s more proof of how strange football is.”

Brazil will be competing in Group G of the World Cup alongside Cameroon, Serbia and Switzerland with their first game being against Serbia on 24th of November.
