Chelsea signs Monaco’s technical director planning for global football

Arriving from Monaco as the club's new technical director, Laurence Stewart is expected to facilitate Tod Boehly's idea of moving the Premier League outfit to a multi-club model like Manchester City.

: "Laurence is an important appointment as we plan to build a deep sporting team that will collaborate closely.

"[He's] a world-class football leader who understands talent management, data and scouting, player development and performance."

Stewart said:

“I’m delighted to be joining Chelsea and excited about the vision and direction of the club under the new ownership group.

“I am excited to join them to help them build a world-class global sporting organisation to consistently win on the pitch at the highest levels and provide player pathways to help develop our talent.”
