Barcelona & Tottenham to start negotiation over Lenglet

The French defender, who did not have a place in Xavi's plans, left for London in the summer.

Reports suggest that Barcelona and Tottenham will begin negotiations to finalize the transfer of Clement Lenglet.

After a poor start at Tottenham, the French defender gradually worked his way into Antonio Conte's starting line-up. He joined Tottenham on loan from Barcelona in the summer, and now there is talk of his permanent transfer. Fabrizio Romano has claimed that it is possible that the two clubs will soon enter into negotiations and talk about the permanent transfer of the French defender. It is said that the Catalans will be satisfied with his sale with a figure between 10 and 15 million.

Lenglet didn't get many opportunities to play under Xavi's guidance and therefore decided to leave Camp Nou. Thus, it is unlikely that he intends to return to this team in the coming years. He has a contract with Barcelona for three more seasons, and the Blaugrana hopes to improve his financial situation by selling him to avoid suspensions and serious risks and also have the conditions to recruit players next summer.

Lenglet, who has a history of playing in Nancy and Sevilla, has played 5 games for Tottenham this season and gradually becomes one of the team's key players.
