Top European clubs eyeing Arsenal's technical director Edu

Arsenal could lose their technical director Edu as he is garnering interest from other clubs.

According to Fabrizio Romano, more than two European clubs are showing interest in

Arsenal's

technical director Edu as they are impressed with his job.

Romano claims that these clubs are monitoring his situation and his name has been discussed internally but Edu is only focused on the Arsenal project and the club also sees him as a key figure.

Edu helped Arsenal to sign players like Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, and Oleksandr Zinchenko last summer and played a key role in changing the club’s direction off the pitch in the last few years.

Arsenal sits top of the

Premier League

table this season with nine wins after ten matches. Edu played a big part in appointing Mikel Arteta as Arsenal's manager in 2019 and after three tough seasons it seems their project is coming together.

Edu played for Arsenal between 2001 to 2005. He played in 127 matches and scored 7 goals. The Brazilian midfielder won two Premier League, two FA Cups, and one Community Shield with the Gunners.

Edu who retired in 2010 and was Corinthians appointed him as their director of football in 2011. He was the general coordinator of the Brazilian national team from 2016 to 2019. Edu become Arsenal's first-ever technical director in 2019.

Arsenal will face PSV Eindhoven in the Europe League on Thursday and then they will play with Southampton on Sunday.
