I decide when my time in Bundesliga is over, not anyone else - Kruse

Max Kruse has talked about Niko Kovac’s declaration revealing that the striker’s career at Wolfsburg is about to be over.

Max Kruse

said that he is the only one to decide when his

Bundesliga

career will reach its end as he slammed

Wolfsburg

coach Niko Kovac for keeping him out in the cold.

Kruse, who has been capped 14 times by Germany from 2013 to 2015, was not included in his side’s 1-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Marcel Schafer, the sporting director, and Kovac said that Kruse will not be back, with the latter saying:

"We demand 100 per cent identification, concentration and focus on Wolfsburg from all players. We didn't have that feeling with Max."

Schafer said that the 34-year-old, who met the back of the net seven times in 14 games last season, will not feature for them again.

Kruse refuted the claims on his Instagram account, saying:

"I respect the coach's opinion, apparently I should no longer identify with the club.

"But everyone who knows me knows I've been a professional for the last 10 or 12 years, when I always gave my all for the club I played for.

"That will continue to be the case as long as I get to train and play football.

"I came to Wolfsburg in January to help the team, and I think I did that in the second half of last season.

"I decide for myself when my time in the Bundesliga is over, and nobody else decides that for me."
