Tebas criticized Mbappe decision to stay at uncompetitive League 1

During the summer, the French star decided to reject Real Madrid's offer and stay at PSG.

La Liga President Javier Tebas once again criticized

Kylian Mbappe

's decision to stay at

PSG

and reject

Real Madrid

's offer, claiming that League 1 is uncompetitive.

While Mbappe was expected to leave PSG for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, he unusually extended his contract, keeping him in the French capital until 2025. Mbappe was criticized a lot for his decision, and Javier Tebas hit him again.

Asked if La Liga was missing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Mbappe, Tebas replied:

"If we look at the clubs where they are, we see that these are clubs that are pouring money. Of course, we would have liked them to come, but they weren't there last year either. Mbappe stayed in a championship that is not competitive."

During the last two years, the two big stars of La Liga, Ronaldo and Messi, have left this league and it was said that with their separation, the quality of La Liga will decline, but Robert Lewandowski joining Barcelona shows that the critics' previous claim is not so true.
